Rev. and Mrs. Donald Blessing will observe their 50th wedding anniversaryWednesday, May 1. No formal reception is planned.

Rev. Blessing, now retired, is a Methodist minister and lives on Route 5,South of Fairfield. His last pastorate was the Ellen Moore U.M. Church where heserved three years, 1975-78.

The Blessings are both natives of Union county, and after 34 years in the it inerant ministry  of the Methodist church, have adopted Fairfield for their retirement years.

Donald is the son of Fred and Rose (Eaves) Blessing and Allene is the daughter of Louie and Ora (Cooper) Hines.

The Blessings are parents of three children, Mrs. James Majernik (Madonna),Jane Ellen, and Fred Blessing, all of Sumner. They also have two grandsons,Andrew and James Alan Majernik.
