Pfc. Vernon T. Parker

Mrs. Bernadine Parker of Wayne City received a telegram from the War Department Wednesday, March 21st saying her husband, Pfc. Vernon Thomas Parker, was missing in action in Germany since March 6th. 

Vernon entered the service December 31st 1943. He has been overseas since November 1944, having served in England, France, Belgium and Germany.

He has a younger brother T/5 Harry Lee Parker somewhere in the South Pacific.

The Record carried a letter from Vernon in last week's issue dated February 25th,  The last letter his wife received from him was also dated the same day February 25th.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Parker and son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Clark all of Wayne City, Ill.  He has a small daughter Linda Lurene 13 months old.
