WAYNE  CO.,  IL

WWII  MAN

KILLED  IN  ACTION

ARTICLES  and  PHOTO

Clellie Lea BOLES

The Record received notice this week that Technician 5/c Clellie Lea Boles of Wayne City had been killed in action in France December 11, 1944.

This is another reminder that the casualties and injured, as well as missing from Wayne County continue to mount, and sometimes we just wonder if our boys are getting more than their share of the load.

Technician Boles was born January 14, 1909, at Assumption, son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Boles, his draft record show that his father now lives at Stonington. He worked for W. B. Crouch at Wayne City before entering the service, and gave his name as a friend that would know his
address.

We thank the friend who sent us a picture of this quiet, unsung hero. We urge friends and relatives to notify us in case of death, missing or wounded of any Wayne County service man. You may be the first one to have the news and we want our readers to get the news about our great family of fighters.
