Candee Hoff and I have researched the Hall line over 30 years.   Therefore, Candee Hoff will be a contact family for this line.

Lewis Hall

F & I   54 Illinois Infantry
He enrolled on December 9, 1861 in Co I 54 Illinois Infantry at Fairfield, Illinois
Mustered out October 15, 1865
Died June 2, 1881 near Fairfield, IL
Mary Evans Hall Page was formerly his wife but was divorced from Lewis about March 1881
Mary Evans and Lewis Hall were married at Nashville, Illinois on September 2, 1862.

Lewis Hall Sr. stated that children of Lewis and Mary were:
1. Delilah May, born February 5, 1867
2. Lewis born March 25, 1871
3. Alfred born May 22, 1876
Witnesses of said letter were J. C. Trousdale & N. S. McConn

Another letter, Mrs. Elzy J. Hall and Mrs. Maria Clark of Fairfield, Wayne Co., IL
They were neighbors and gave the same birth dates for the above mentioned children.
Same witnesses as above

Another affidavit from St. Louis, Missouri
W. H. Evans, age 42, of O'Fallon, Illinois and F. W. Evans, age 55 of St. Louis, Illinois.
They mentioned another child, LaFayette, but say only May, Lewis & Alfred lived to age 16 and were still living.
Lafayette also reached the age of 16, but died February 3,1890.
 

Mrs. Mary Page, minor, filed February 25, 1884.  She was 45 years old.

She married Mr. David Page on April 17, 1882 in St. Clair County, Illinois by Henry R. Challenor (?), JP
June 6, 1892 she was living near Las Cruces, Territory of New Mexico when she filed for guardian pension

Child
Alfred Hall born May 22, 1876 who in 1892 is suffering from the effects of injury of spine causing bump on back, deformity of breast and such weakness of limbs that he doesn't walk

Laura Hall was born March 24, 1869.
In November 7, 1886, Mary was living in St. Louis, Missouri
In February 25, 1891 she was living in the Territory of New Mexico
They were married in Nashville, Washington Co., Illinois
As a widow she moved to Ridge Prairie, St. Clair Co., Illinois

I found Louis & Mary Hall living in Big Mound Township, Wayne Co., on June 21, 1870 census.
Louis Hall, 33, Illinois
Mary, 21, Illinois
Lafayette 5, Illinois
Delilah 3, Illinois
Leora 1, Illinois   (they must have had a daughter they forgot to mention in the pension file).
