I have NOT proven this one yet, but maybe someone will be able to give me clues thru their children. Some of the family belonged to the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Wayne Co, IL. Permelia was a widow in 1850 Wayne Co, IL census and some children were still living with her. In the 1860 Wayne Co, IL census, she was still living as a widow with her son William a Bpt MG and his family.

Some of the spelling are: MONTGAL MONTGAUL MANGAL but to be consistant, used is MONTGAL
