OBITUARY - Minnie Cravens
After a lingering siege of typhoid fever, Minnie, the eighteen-year-old daughter of W. F. Cravens, succumbed to the monster death, on Saturday, Feb. 13th 1897. Funeral services were held at the home and were conducted by Rev. G. A. Wilson after which her remains were laid away in the family cemetery near by. Minnie was a quiet, unassuming girl, loved and respected by all and will be sadly missed by the entire community. But we believe that our loss is her eternal gain. She left quite a number of relatives and many affectionate friends on earth but many equally dear to her have already crossed over to that better land, where we trust she has joined them in singing praises to him who doeth all things well.
