TROTTER, William Joseph, was known to have been in Orange Co., North Carolina for the 1800 census, Hardin/Hart Co., Kentucky for the 1810 census, came to Wayne or Hamilton County areas with children approx. 1823.  William is said to have frozen to death in a blizzard between 1830-1840

William Joseph TROTTER was born  1750-1780, married Sarah King, William died in  Wayne Co., IL  1830-1840, Sarah died between 1823-1830.

issued 11 children, as:

1)	Susannah TROTTER
	was born 1777-1802, KY and died. 1825-1890 in Appanoose Co.,  IL.  She  married John TAYLOR  April 11, 1816 in Barren Co.,Ky
2)	George TROTTER
	was born  1779-1822
3)	Charles TROTTER
	was born  Sept. 27, 1791, in SC and d.ied April 4, 1857,  in Wayne Co., IL   He was married on May 31, 1812 in Glasgow, Barren Co., KY to Mary FLATT,  dau of John and Patience (LOGSTON) FLATT
4)	Rebecca TROTTER
	was born 1795-1817 in KY and died January 11, 1879.  She married Andrew C. DALTON
5)	Elisha B.  TROTTER
	was born  December 2, 1801 in KY and  died O ct. 23, 1865  in Wayne Co., IL.  He  married Amelia Anna WATKINS 1827 in IL
6)	James F  TROTTER
	was born 1803 and died Dec 4, 1875 in Fulton Co., IL.  He is buried in the TROTTER CEM., Ipava, IL.  James married (1) Nancy J (BLAIR) SLOTS.  He married 2nd on Sept 12, 1829 in Hamilton Co., IL to Mary Jane SMITH, daug of Daniel and Rachel (GARRISON) SMITH.
7)	Thomas Archibald TROTTER
	was born  1807 and  died  June 13, 1858 in Hamilton Co.,  IL.  His first wife's name was  Rhoda.   He married  2nd in 1834, to  Mary CAMPBELL,  dau of Dougald and Eleanor CAMPBELL.  Then he married 3rdon Mar 29, 1849 in Hamilton Co., IL to Harriett TRAMMEL.  (not proven, believed she is the dau of Garret and Bathsheba TRAMMEL).

9)	Isham TROTTER
	was born Jul 19, 1815 in KY and died Feb 24, 1888 in Belle Prairie, Hamilton Co., IL.  He married in Hamilton Co., IL on Mar 30, 1837 to Nancy J WARFIELD, dau of  John and Rebecca WARFIELD.
10)	Robert  TROTTER
	was born Jul 19, 1815 in KY and died  Nov. 24, 1854, in  Hamilton Co., IL.  He was married on Feb 20, 1837 to  Eleanor CAMPBELL, dau of Dougald and Eleanor CAMPBELL.
11)	Shirley Jasper TROTTER
	was born Feb 15, 1821 in Compton, Hart Co., KY and died Dec 12, 1899 in Rinard, Wayne Co., IL.  He was married 5 times.  He married 1st on Apr 6, 1841 to Tabitha LAIRD.  He married 2nd  to Romilda GIBBS on Sept. 20, 1849 in Wayne Co.,IL.  Then he was married the 3rd time to Elizabeth   Ann REID on Apr 15, 1852..  His 4th marriage was in Fairfield, Wayne Co., IL  on Aug 13, 1868, to Alice CHURCH.  Last, he married the 5th time to Mary Ann (ROBINSON) JEWISON on Jun 25, 1879, in Louisville, Clay Co., IL.
