Funeral services for Mrs. Iona Blanche
Bratton,
213 E. Maple, Flora, were held at 1:30 pm today (Monday), at Full
Gospel Chapel, Johnsonville, where she was a member. Interment
was in
Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Bratton,
age 86, died at 10:20 am Saturday, in Clay County Hospital. She
was
born in Wayne County on Sept. 5, 1889, a daughter of Lafe and Laura Ellis Spicer.
She leaves four sons, Donald of
Flora, Stanley of De Kalb, Lowell of
Louisville, and Jesse of
Iola; one stepson, Chlorus of
Latham, IL; four
sisters, Mrs. Tot Adams of San Bernadino, Ca., Mrs Katie
Bratton of Carmi, Mrs Ora Striegal
of Murphysboro, and Mrs Beulah
Pennington, Johnsonville; 18 grandchildren; and 20
great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Walter Bratton, eight children and a brother,
preceded her in death.
The DeSelms Funeral Home, Cisne, was in charge of arrangements.
