DEAD
William
R. Clark died at the home of his daughter, Miss Tillie Clark, on North West
Seventh street in this city, about 9:10 Monday night, after a
bed-ridden illness of ten months, from a stroke of paralysis. He
came here from Indian Prairie township, where he was born and
raised. He came to this city about a year ago. He leaves
six grown children. The body was taken to Johnsonville for burial
Wednesday morning.

Riley Clark was the son of John
Brooks Clark and Elizabeth
Pennington. He married Margaret
Adeline Griffith on 11 March 1865 in Wayne County. She
died 2 March 1893. William was the father of 10 children, and was
survived by the following: William
Grant Clark, Ira Miller Clark, Clara Adeline (Clark) Richards, Robert
Paris Clark, Reina Kate (Clark) Miller, and Matilda May
"Tillie" Clark. He was preceded by his children Mary Olia Clark, John Jonas Clark, Ida
Edith (Clark) Leathers, and Anna Clark.
