Geo. H. Weaver

George Henry Weaver, son of David and Naomi Spicer-Weaver was born January 11th, 1864. Died at his home near Fairfield, Illinois, September 28th, 1926, aged 62 years, 3 months and 17 days.

He was united in marriage to Celia L. Forth in 1885. To this union were born two children, Lucy A. who died July 27, 1886 and Robert Everett who died October 12, 1901.

The wife Celia L. died November 8, 1888.

He was married to Sarah M. Little, April 10th, 1892. To this union nine children were born, 4 sons and 5 daughters. Floyd W., Garret A., Elsie N., Vertie M., Lutie M., Leslie C., Orra D., a daughter and Lois E. Three of the daughters died in infancy, Floyd W., Garret A., Elsie N., Leslie E., Orra D. and Lois E., all live in Wayne county. Besides his wife Sarah M., and six children, he is survived by three brothers, L.H., of Fairfield, Illinois, Frank, of Johnsonville, Ill., and Theodore of Cisne, Ill., and three sisters, Matilda Whitson, of Gilbert, Ark., Cynthia Tibbs and Nettie Galbraith of Glendale, California and 5 grandchildren.

In early manhood he was converted and joined the General Baptist church at Round Prairie, but thirty-one years ago he moved his membership to the Bailey General Baptist church where he remained a faithful and active member until death. George was a man loved by all who knew him. He was unassuming and always ready to help any one in need. He will not only be missed by his family as a good husband and father but by all his friends and associates. The funeral took place on Friday at the Bailey church in the old home neighborhood of the deceased. Rev. J.H. Rush conducted the service.
