Burlie Butcher, 80, Of Cisne, Expires

Burlie F. Butcher, 80, of Cisne, who formerly farmed in the Orchardville vicinity, died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Clay County Hospital in Flora.

Mr. Butcher has been retired and living in Cisne.

Services Friday
Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne with burial in the Floral Garden of Memories at Flora. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday (tonight)

Mr. Butcher was born in Marion County on Jan 7, 1903, the son of Cam and Kate (Shieley) Butcher.

He was married to Clela Malone on Feb 27, 1927 in Marion County. She survives.

Mr. Butcher farmed west of Cisne in the Orchardville vicinity. He was a member of the Round Prairie General Baptist Church.

The Survivors
Surviving are his widow Clela; one daughter, Mrs Harvey (Rowena) Tibbs, of Flora; one sister, Mrs. Irma Wood, of Walnut Hill, Ill, two brothers, Fay, of Centralia; and Glenn, of Luka; one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.
