MRS.  GEORGE  JONES  DIES
FROM  HEART  ATTACK

Mrs. George Jones passed away suddenly Tuesday morning at the home of her neighbor, Mrs. Perry Sheets, on North First street. According to testimony given at an inquest, Mrs. Jones had gone to the Sheets home to inquire about Mrs. Sheets' health. While there she suffered the attack and died before a doctor could arrive.

The inquest jury attributed death to angina pectoris.

Funeral services will be at two o'clock Thursday afternoon at the First Methodist church by Rev. L. Tucker. Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery.

Mr. Jones survives.

SKETCH OF MRS. JONES

A biographical sketch of Mrs. George Jones who passed away suddenly December 13th at the home of Mrs. Perry Sheets in Fairfield follows:

Mary A. (Clay) Jones, daughter of Clem and Lucy Clay, was born at Enterprise, Illinois, March 25th, 1880 and departed this life December 13th, 1938 at the age of 58 years, eight months and eighteen days.

She was united in marriage to George C. Jones, of Mt. Erie, April 10th, 1904. To this union one son was born, Dr. G. E. Jones, Pekin, Ill.

+She was preceded in death by her father and mother. Besides her husband, son and wife, she leaves a sister, Mrs. Ed Beckel, and her husband of Cisne; a nephew, Clarence E. Beckel and family, of Cisne; an uncle, Charles Harl and family, of Burnt Prairie.

She was converted at the age of eighteen at a meeting held by Calvin Richardson at the Baptist church at Enterprise, and remained a faithful member until death.

She spent most of her married life at Mt. Erie. Five years ago she came to Fairfield, where she attended the Methodist Church and made many friends.

Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 o'clock December 15th, 1938 by Rev. L.Tucker, assisted by Rev. A. R. Ransom. Burial was in the Maple Hill cemetery.
