Cloyd O. "Red" Leathers, 81, died Monday [October 12, 1981] in his home at 1136 9th Ave. He was born Sept. 6, 1900,in Johnsonville, Ill.

Cloyd O. "Red" Leathers, 81, died Monday [October 12, 1981] in his home at 1136 9th Ave. He was born Sept. 6, 1900 , in Johnsonville, Ill. Leathers had been owner-manager of the Pontiac Garage car dealership in Lexington, Ill., and a Yuma area car dealer for several years. He was a member of the Yuma Elks Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Irene, of their home; brothers James of Fairbury, Ill., and Robert of Geff, Ill.; sisters Louella Tribley of Fairbury, Lois Kiger of Pontiac, Ill., and Millie Bratton of Belmount, Ill.; and granddaughters Jeanne DeLozier of Yuma and Susan Young of Maryville, Tenn.

Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Johnson Mortuary, where services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Donald Herweyer of First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Desert Lawn, with graveside rites assisted by Yuma Elks members. Pallbearers will be Marvin Tedrow, Pete Brock, Ernie Chappell, Gene Dewhirst, Orval Dewhirst and Randy Early, and honorary bearers Dr. William Phillips, Clifford Snyder, James Bristow, Walter Varner, Walter Varner Jr. and Kenneth Weakley.

In lieu of other remembrances, the family suggests donations to the Arizona Lung Association of American Cancer society in care of Johnson Mortuary.
