OBITUARY

ANGELNE (MCKNIGHT) BERRY

Angeline McKnight was born in White county, ILL, Feb 12, 1832 and was married to Joseph S. Berry in 1863. Died at her home near Mill Shoals March 30, 1900. She was the mother of eight children, seven of whom still survive her. All were with her  during her illness except Mrs. Gussie Sanders of Missouri.

She was converted when young and united with the C.P. church and lived a faithful member and was a devoted Christian until death.

Funeral services were conducted at Mill Shoals by Dr. Hendershot, after which the remains were laid to rest in Shrewsbury cemetery. She was conscious until death and told the children not to mourn for her. Nineteen years ago  her husband died  and she remained a widow, living with her children.
There's a land of light and love far away,
Where the long severed friends meet again,
Where the dark night and toil wearing day,
Never tarnish the bright golden plain.
