FORMER FAIRFIELD BOY

James Tice, 66 Dies

James H. TICE, 66, a former Fairfield boy, a resident of Belleville IL many years, died at 10:30 a. m. Monday in St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville.  He had been ill about three years with emphysema.

Rites Conducted
Services were conducted at 10 a. m. Thursday (today) at St. Mary’s church in Belleville with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Livingston IL.

Mr. TICE was born in Fairfield April 20, 1914, the son of Abe and Minnie (POTTER) TICE.  He grew up around Fairfield, but moved away when he was a young man.

He worked as a boilermaker for Nooter’s Construction Company of St. Louis.

Mr. TICE was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Belleville, IL, the Elks Lodge and the Moose Lodge.

Preceding him in death are his wife Mary F. GOFFINETT TICE originally of Mt. Vernon IL and two Grandchildren.

The Survivors
Surviving are one daughter; two grandchildren; one brother, William T. TICE, of O’Fallon, and two sisters.  Mrs. Amos (Phyllis) SHELTON, of Fairfield and Mrs. Lawrence HUNTER of Belleville
