MRS. C. W. CREIGHTON DIES
AT HOSPITAL

Had Lived in Fairfield Sixty-Two Years
Husband Was Leading Attorney

Mrs. C. W.  (Camp)  Creighton, 78, widow of a late well-known Fairfield attorney, died at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial hospital where she had been a patient one month. She was a Fairfield resident 62 years. Heart Condition Mrs. Creighton had enjoyed fairly good health for her age until late June when she was hospitalized for a heart condition. Later, on July 13th, she underwent a gallbladder operation and uremic poisoning developed.

Funeral services will be held from First Methodist church at 2 p.m. Friday, with Dr. Walter A. Smith officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill cemetery. The body is at Nale's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Creighton resided at 305 North East Fourth street.

Born At Mt. Erie

She was born at Mt. Erie August 14, 1883, the daughter of William C. and Mariah Glaspie Camp. The early part of her life was spent in the vicinity of her birth. On June 13, 1915, she was married to Charles W. Creighton, with three daughters born to this union. Mr. Creighton died in 1947.

Mrs. Creighton was first a member of the Mt. Erie Methodist church, later transferring to the Fairfield First methodist, where she was active in church affairs. She was a member of the Every Wednesday club and belonged to the Bible Study Club until her eyesight limited her reading.

The Survivors

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Francis and Miss Mary Ann Creighton, both of Fairfield, and Mrs. Jane Herzler, of Glendale, Mo., and six grandchildren. Mrs. Creighton was the last survivor of her parents' family. She was a sister of the late Mrs. E. P. Fleming and Edgar Camp, and also had a number of half-brothers and half-sisters, all deceased.
