Mrs. Dorothy Henson Reed, 90, of Fairfield, died at 2:25 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, 1993, at Way-Fair Restorium.

Earlier in her life, Mrs. Reed had worked as a seamstress at a sewing factory.

Funeral rites were conducted Sunday afternoon from the Johnson Funeral Home, with Bro. Oakley Miller officiating. Interment was in Pin Oak Cemetery. A visitation was conducted at the Johnson Funeral Chapel Saturday evening.

She was born in Wayne County Sept. 17, 1903, the daughter of Judd and Elizabeth Withrow Cates.  On June 16, 1927, she was married to Loren Henson. He passed away in 1969.  Later, on Oct. 22, 1976, she married to Clarence Reed. He passed away in 1977.

Surviving are a stepson, Homer Henson; a foster daughter, Bernice Hooper; and two granddaughters, Nola Loker  and Betty Knauss.
