Ray Loyd, 90, died at his home in rural Wayne City at 1:10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 1994, from natural causes. He was a retired farmer.

Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon from the Richardson  Funeral Home in Wayne City, with Rev. Rudolph Schlagg and Rev. Leland Ganieany officiating, Burial was in Hickory Hill Cemetery. A visitation was held at the Richardson Funeral Home Sunday evening,

Mr. Loyd was born in Wayne County July 30, 1904, the son of Ira and Dealia Cox Loyd. On Feb. 17, 1927, he was married to Noma Dulaney.

Mr. Loyd was a member of the Long Prairie Church.

Surviving are his wife; five sons Donald Loyd, of Springfield; Harry Loyd, of Williamsville; Ray Loyd, of Springfield; Walter Loyd, of Springfield; and Earl Loyd, of New Baden; two daughters, Dorothy Ferguson, of Lathan; and Alice Gardiner, of Chatham; 25 grandchildren; 27
great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
