Mrs. Ruth Barnard, 76, Rt. 2, Cisne, the wife of Ralph Barnard, died at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 1985, at Franklin Skill Care Center in Benton.

Mrs. Barnard was a resident of the Benton nursing home for a short time, the Press was told. She was the mother of Robert Barnard, of Cisne.

Services Tuesday

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bailey Church near Wayne City, with Rev. Roger Tate and Rev. Shirley Milner officiating. Interment will follow in Bailey Cemetery.

Visitation will be conducted for family and friends after 6 p.m. Monday (tonight) at Richardson Funeral Home, Wayne City.

Born in Wayne County, July 22, 1908, Mrs. Barnard was the daughter of Frank and Olive Lowe Peddicord.

She was wed to Ralph Barnard Oct. 13, 1926.

Mrs. Barnard was a housewife and homemaker during her marriage. She was a member of Bailey Church.

The Survivors

Survivors include her husband, Ralph Barnard, of Cisne; three sons, Robert Barnard; Dale Barnard; Davis Paul Barnard; one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Sharon) Zimmerman; a brother, Stanley Peddicord; two sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Carmen) Barnard, of Wayne City; Mrs. Hobart (Lois) Weaver; a step-sister, Mrs. Normie (Ester) Barnard; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
