Mrs. Kathleen Barnard, 63, of Park Ridge, died at 12:33 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 1991, at Resurrection Hospital in Chicago.

A native of Wayne County and a sister of Owen Rainwater at Wayne City,  Mrs. Barnard had been in failing health for some time.

She was a professor at DePaul University.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday from the Wayne City Christian Church, with Rev. Scott Singleton officiating. Burial will be in Thomason cemetery, Wayne City. Visitation at the Richardson Funeral Home will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

She was born in Wayne County Dec. 28, 1927, the daughter of Roy and Nina Edmison Rainwater.
