THOMAS CREIGHTON PASSES
AWAY EARLY THURSDAY MORNING

Local Youth Dies After Long Illness;
Rites At Fairfield Saturday

Thomas Fredrick Creighton, son of Patrolman George Creighton, 1322 South East street, passed away Thursday night at 1:10 o'clock at Oak Lawn Sanitorium, where he has been a patient for the past 17 months.  He was born Sept. 4, 1918, in Fairfield, Ill., and has resided in Jacksonville the past twelve years.

Thomas was a member of Centenary Methodist church.  He is survived by his father, two brothers and one sister.  His mother preceded him in death in July 1930.  He is also survived by his grandparents,  Thomas Creighton of Fairfield, and Fred Baldwin of Mount Vernon, Ill., two uncles and four aunts, one of whom is Mrs. John McLin of this city.

The body will be taken to Fairfield via the 7:30 o'clock Burlington train Friday morning.  Services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the Methodist church, with interment in Fairfield cemetery.

Friends may view the body at the Cody & Son Memorial home this evening.
