Mrs John Taylor, 87, Dies

Mrs Edith Francis Taylor, 87, a Fairfield woman who was formerly a farm wife northwest of Boyleston, died at 6:15 a.m. Friday in Way-Fair Restorium.

Mrs Taylor, the widow of John Taylor, had been in the Restorium for several years.  She formerly lived at 906 Epworth Street in Fairfield.

Services Conducted

Services were conducted Sunday at Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield, with Elder Russell Blackford officiating.  Burial was in the Lappin Cemetery northwest of Boyleston.

Mrs. Taylor was born in Wayne County nov. 12, 1889, the daughter of Valentine and Emma (Walker) Morris.  Her husband, John, died in 1957.

They farmed in the Covington community and moved into Fairfield following his retirement.  She was a member of the Fairfield RLDS Church.

Her family said she had been confined to a wheel chair because of a fractured pelvic bone.

The Survivors

Surviving are two sons, Arthur, of Fairfield; and Earl, of Geff; one daughter, Mrs Rudollph (Selma) Nelson, of Fairfield; 11 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; one brother, Allen Morris, of Cisne; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Ivan; a daughter, Dorothea Reed; and a grandson.
