Mrs. Elizabeth Malone, 72, wife of William Malone of north of Sims, died at 7:10 p.m. in the Jefferson Memorial hospital at Mt. Vernon following a paralytic stroke in her home.

Mr. Malone, 79, found his wife after she suffered the stroke while doing her baking Saturday. He then suffered a heart attack and, after being treated by a physician, was rushed to the Jefferson Memorial hospital.

Later, after arrangements could be made, Mrs. Malone was rushed to the same hospital. Both were in very serious condition. He was placed under an oxygen tent, yet kept inquiring about his wife, but the attendants did not inform him Mrs. Malone was in the same hospital.

Funeral services were held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. from the Bailey church near Wayne City, with the Rev. F.N. Shields officiating. Interment was in the cemetery nearby.

Mrs. Malone was born in Wayne county February 2, 1877. She was a sister to Mrs. Walter Weaver of this city, who was called to her bedside at the hospital.
