HARGRAVE, JEREMIAH Died
at the residence of D.A. Mossin
Brush Creek township
on Oct.9th

JEREMIAH HARGRAVE, in the eightieth year of his age. The deceased was one of the oldest settlers of the country [sic], having been a resident of the state fifty-four years. Forty-six years of this time he lived in Wayne county, on Brush Creek. He was a soldier in the war of 1812, and was also in the campaign against Black Hawk. He was an uncompromising Union man during the late war with the South. (The delay or loss of a previous notice sent us accounts for the lateness of this obituary.)
