John David Rudesill, 85, retired Cisne farmer, died at 11:30 p.m. Thursday at Clay County Hospital in Flora.

His death was due to a heart condition.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon from DeSelms Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Collins officiating.  Interment was in Laird cemetery near Enterprise.

He was born in Wayne county Nov. 18, 1883, the son of Daniel J. and Emma Jane Hubler Rudesill.

Mr. Rudesill was first married to Esther Feller, with two sons born to their union.  His wife passed away Nov. 16, 1956.

Later he was married to Mrs. Mamie Fitch.

He was a member of the Enterprise Baptist church.

Surviving are his widow; two sons, Wilbert, of Elgin; and Clyde of Geff; two brothers, Lawrence, of Lawrenceville; and C.T. Rudesill, of Fairfield.
