Robert Malone  Found Dead

Robert Malone, 77, a retired Airtex worker, was found dead at his home at 205 W.Elm Friday morning.

He was found by his brother, Glen, who became concerned when he wasn’t able to contact him. He went to his house and found the door locked but got into the house through a back screen.

Found in Bed

Mr. Malone was found in bed. It was estimated that he had been dead a couple of days.  He was under a physician’s care for a heart condition and high blood pressure.

A medicine prescription which had been filled Monday was found inside the house.   Mail, dting back to Monday, was found outside in the mail box.

Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield with Elder Russell Blackford officiting.  Burial was in the Lappin Cemetery west of Geff.

Mr. Malone was born in Wayne County Nov. 3, 1902, the son of William and Elizabeth (Shehorn) Malone.

He was married to Alta Morris, who died Jan. 1, 1971.  They had no children.

Moved to Faifield

For quite a few years, they lived west of Geff where he farmed some.  But he also worked at Airtex Products for many years.  About 14 years ago, they moved into Fiarfield.

Mr. Malone was a member of the RlDS Church in Fairfield.

Survivng are his brother, Glen, of Fairfield; two sisters, Mrs. Clea Butcher, of Cisne; and Mrs. Wretha Barnard, of Wayne City; nieces and nephews.
