OBITUARY

July 1945

KELLEY DANIELS

Kelley, son of William H. and Lucinda Daniels, was born Sept. 1, 1905, near Wayne City. Departed this life July 19, 1945, at the age of 40 years, 10 months and 18 days.

He was united in marriage to Laura Chloe Sons in April of 1925. To this union one son was born. Laura preceded him in death on March 20, 1931. He again was united in marriage to Hazel Myers, on June 23, 1934. To this union four children were born, one having died at birth.

His father preceded him in death on May 30, 1945, also one half-sister, Jessie on April 19, 1927.

He leaves to mourn his passing his faithful companion, three sons, Kelley, Jr., age 19, who is serving in the armed forces somewhere in Italy. Dean, age 9, Dale age 1 year, Gail age 2 months, all at home. Also his mother, three brothers Lester and Orley of St. Louis, Mo. , and Elbert, who is serving in the armed forces; two sisters, Gladys Talbert of Fairfield and Chloe Green of Cisne; one half brother Rae of Ransom; two half sisters, Effie Henson of Mt. Vernon, and Amanda Brown of Streator; twenty-two nieces, and eighteen nephews, a host of other relatives and friends.

He went to St. Louis in the year of 1924 and was employed by the Hill Bottling Co. Then in 1926 he went to work for the Ben Gootman Trucking Co. then in 1937 he went to the Bee Mac Transportation Co. , where he was still employed at time of death. He was a faithful companion, a good father and was liked by everyone who knew him.
