Miss Osa Churchwell, of Flora, formerly of Cisne, passed away at the Parkview hospital in Tell City, Indiana, Monday evening, January 28th.

The body was taken to the Hancock Funeral Home in Flora for funeral services Wednesday afternoon. Burial was in the Cisne cemetery.

Miss Churchwell taught in the Wayne county schools in early life, but for the past 40 years, she has worked in department stores as bookkeeper and cashier. She was with the Scudamore Department Store at Flora  for about 30 years.

She has been at the Parkview hospital since January 1945 to be near her neice, Mrs. L.C.Becker, formerly Miss Pearl Brown, of Cisne.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Theodore Puckett, of near Fairfield. She is a cousin of Mrs. C.S. Stewart and Mrs. Minnie Lofton, here.
