OBITUARY

February 1923

MINNIE MAY WATSON

Minnie May Watson was born in Wayne County, Illinois, May 9, 1877 departed this life February 10,1923 at the age of 45 years, 9 months and 1 day.

She was united in marriage to A.A. Watson, December 5, 1896. To this union five children were born, three of whom died in infancy. She is survivied by her husband and two sons, Clyde and Roy, her mother, Mrs. Mary Case, of Wayne County, three sisters, Mrs. Emma Knapp, Mrs. Myrtle Eikleberry of Wayne County, Mrs. Maudie Long of Gilbert, Arkansas, and one brother, Arthur Case of Wayne County, who with a host of other relatives and friends will mourn her early departure from this life.

The deceased professed faith in Christ at an early age and united with the free Baptist church at Johnsonville. About three yeas ago, she, with her husband, united with the General Baptist church at Rock Branch, where she was a regular attendant and an active workers in at all the services.

She was a kind and affectionate companion and mother, a loving sister, friends and a good neighbor.

Her kind words and deeds will be missed not only by her immediate family, but the church and neighborhood will sadly miss her as well.

The dear Lord’s best interpreters,
Our humble human souls.
The gospel of a life like hers,
Is more than books or scrolls.
