Mrs. S.R. Richison
Is Found Dead  Last Wednesday at Geff

Mrs. Bessie Myrtle Richison, widow of the late Simion Elmer (Sim) Richison, was found dead last Wednesday morning at her home in Geff by her neighbors. She had been in failing health for several years and died at the age of 57 years and one month.

Funeral services were conducted at the Oak Valley church Friday at one o’clock p.m. by Elder John Samford, and interment was in the Johnsonville cemetery.

Mrs. Richison, the daughter of David and Lucinda Hilliard, was born near Geff, Oct. 26, 1890.

She was united in marriage December 1, 1909, to Simion Elmer Richison at Fairfield. During the 37 years of their married life they lived 12 years in northern Illinois. The remainder had been spent in Wayne county.

Her companion preceded her in death Nov. 19, 1946.

She was converted early in life at the General Baptist church at Rock Branch and later changed her membership to the Oak Valley church, where she remained a faithful member until her death.

She is survived by two sisters and four brothers: Mrs. Beulah Simpson of Rutland, Mrs. Grace Beeson of Geff, Ralph Hilliard of Alabama; Floyd and Hershel of Millington and Ray of Geff; a number of nephews and nieces, and a host of friends who will mourn her passing.

A precious one from us is gone,
A voice we loved is stilled;
A place is vacant in our home
That never can be filled.

Card of Thanks
We wish to thank our many friends, neighbors and relatives who assisted us in any way during the time of the death of our sister.
