DR. E.  E. ROBERTS
DIES IN ARKANSAS

Former Mt. Erie Doctor Suffered Heart Attack; Return Body to Fairfield.

Dr. E. E. Roberts, age about 82, a former well-known Mt. Erie physician, died Friday at St. Joe, Ark., of a heart attack.

His health had been declining in recent months but he had not been seriously ill before his heart attack.

Funeral Plans Unknown

The body is being returned to the Dixon and Crippen Funeral Home by his brother, Arch Roberts of Hollywood, Calif., and will arrive here Tuesday evening.  Final funeral plans were not known at press hour.

Dr. Roberts practiced medicine at Mt. Erie for many years and also at Cisne but more recently at West Salem.  He retired two or three years ago and moved to Arkansas.

He was a brother of the late Mrs. O.A. Towns here and was an uncle of Mrs. Clara Lasater and Mr. Eugene Wilson, both of Fairfield.

Married Carrie Thompson

Dr. Roberts was the son of Zadoc Roberts, an old Civil War veteran, of Mt. Erie.  His mother was the former Ellen White.  He was married to Carrie Thompson and no children were born to this union.  His wife passed away several years ago.

HOLD ROBERTS RITES

Funeral services for Dr. Edwin E. Roberts, former well-known Mt. Erie doctor, were held Thursday afternoon (today) from the Dixon & Crippin  Funeral Home, with Rev. John Lappin officiating.  Burial was in Maple Hill cemetery.

Dr. Roberts died Thursday last week at Yellville, Ark., from a heart attack.

Dr. Roberts practiced medicine at Mt. Erie and Cisne in Wayne county and later at West Salem, where he was a member of the Christian church.  He moved to Arkansas two or three years ago.

His wife, the former Carrie Thompson, died several years ago.  A brother, Arch Roberts, of Hollywood, Calif., survives, as do a number of  nieces and nephews.
