WILLIAM GARRISON
Mr. Garrison Dies

William Garrison, 68, of Johnsonville, died suddenly in an Olney hospital Friday where he had gone that day for examination. He had been ill only a few days.

Funeral services were conducted from the Oak Grove church on Monday afternoon by Rev. George Richards. Burial was in the Johnsonville cemetery.

William, son of Samuel and Ann Garrison, was born in Hickory Hill township, September 24, 1880. He was left an orphan when quite small and with a brother and sister he was reared in the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Dawson, where he grew to manhood and has spent his life in and near the vicinity of his birth. For many years he lived on his farm in Indian Prairie township, where he was well known and respected. He was not only interested in farming but he was a successful live stock raiser and dealer. Several years ago he retired from active life and moved to Johnsonville, where he has resided since.

In his young manhood he was converted during a revival meeting at Oak Grove Baptist church and for many years he has been one of the supporters of this congregation.

He was united in marriage with Della Vaughn, April 18, 1900. Four children were born to this union.

Surviving are his companion, two sons, Virgil of Aurora and Kelley of Johnsonville; two daughters, Mrs. Audra Wilson, of Johnsonville and Mrs. Hazel Ellis of Flora; one brother, Curt Garrison, of Rinard; one sister, Mrs. Winnie Spicer, of near Johnsonville.
