Mary Florence Elliott, daughter of John and Elizabeth Edge was born April 10, 1861 in Edwards County Illinois and departed this life November 27, 1945 at the age of 84 years, 7 months and 17 days at her home in Orange, Calif.

Her early life was spent in and near Wayne County. In 1916 she with her family moved to California where she has since resided. She had enjoyed good health and death came suddenly due to her advanced age. She professed her faith in Christ about the year 1912 and united with the New Hope General Baptist Church. She was united in marriage to Samuel H. Elliott in 1884. To this union seven children were born. Her husband and four children have preceded her in death.

Surviving are Mrs. Gertrude Mulchay and Frank Elliott of Orange, Calif., and Delbert Elliott of Fairfield, Ill., and an aged sister, Mrs. Jane Mossberger of Pontiac, Ill., besides numerous relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
