OBITUARY

July 1945

WILLIAM HENRY CARSON

William Henry Carson, son of I.B. and Mauervia Carson, was born October 26, 1846 in Wayne County near Cisne, Ill., and lived with his parents as long as they lived; after their passing he remained on the farm for several years.

He has been in poor health for several years and has lived with his brother and sisters for a number of years. He last lived with his sister, Mrs. Jane Matchett for about three years and was almost helpless part of the time until his passing which came July 27, 1945 at the age of 80 years, 9 months and one day.

He leaves to mourn his passing one brother Elmer Carson of Cisne, three sisters, Mrs. Jane Matchett and Mrs. Alice Spalding of Cisne and Mrs. Laura Spalding of Geff; eight nephews, nine nieces and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was conducted at the home of his sister, Mrs. D.G. Spalding in Cisne July 29, 1945, at 2:00 P.M. by Rev. Homer R. Herrin.
