Former Fairfield Barber, 66, Succumbs

A former Fairfield barber, Maurice O. Wilson, 66, died Thursday afternoon in Baptist Welborn Hospital in Evansville suffering from congestive heart failure.

Rites Conducted
Funeral services were conducted Sunday at Nales Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Krause officiating.  Masonic Rites were conducted Saturday night at Nales.

His body was flown from Evansville to Loveland, Colo., for burial in Loveland Memorial Cemetery.  He resided in that city for many years.

Mr. Wilson was born in Wayne County Aug. 3, 1905, the son of Robert and Dora Wilson.  He attended FCHS.

He married Catherine Harris, of Fairfield, May 28, 1925.  She preceded him in death Nov. 14, 1969.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Fairfield Masonic Lodge, the Fairfield Elks Lodge, and the Fairfield Oldtimers Club.

The Survivors

Surviving are one son, Joseph, two daughters, Mrs. Albin (Ila-Lee) Percy Wicklund and Mrs. Donald (Betty May) Hamilton, and five grandchildren.

His parents and a brother, Stanley Wilson, preceded him in death.

For many years his mother operated a rooming house on what is now the Elks lodge corner in Fairfield
