BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH OF
MRS. GEORGE MICHELS

Funeral services for Mrs. George Michels were conducted Tuesday afternoon,  February 28th at the Methodist church in Golden Gate by Rev. Allan Gill, assisted by Rev. Clodfelder. Burial was in the Bethel cemetery.

Lula White Michels, daughter of Dexter and Laura White, was born in Pickaway County, Ohio, July 29, 1877.  She died February 26, 1939, at the age of 61 years, six months and twenty-eight days.

Her early years were spent in Ohio, but while a young girl she came with her family to Illinois.    On April 29, 1897 she was united in marriage to George E. Michels.  To this union a daughter, Hazel M., was born.

The family has resided in Golden Gate for the past forty years.  She was a devoted wife and mother and a good neighbor and friend. during the past twelve years she has been in poor health.

Surviving her is her devoted husband, George E. Michels, a daughter, Hazel M. McRill, of Wayne City; two brothers, C. D. White of Grove City, Ohio, and Albert White, of the State or Oregon, and one sister, Mrs. Edith McBride of Columbus, Ohio.
