Mrs. Elizabeth McElhaney Wolfe, 68, of near Wayne City, passed away at the Mt. Vernon hospital Wednesday, February 6th.

Funeral services were conducted from the Wayne City Missionary Baptist church Friday afternoon by the Rev. Harrel Mayberry. Burial was in the Thomason cemetery.

Mrs. Wolfe was born in Albion on October 11th, 1877, daughter of Felix and Evangeline (Watson) McElhaney. She was married to John Alfred Wolfe on February 28th, 1900. He preceded her in death on April 18th, 1941. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Roy, who died in infancy, and Leslie, who died January 24th, 1944.

She was a member of the New Zion Baptist church for the past 25 years.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Alta Moore, of Hammond, Indiana; one son, Clarence Wolfe, of Wayne City; a sister, Mrs. Clay Ford, of Etna Green, Indiana, and a brother, Ira McElhaney, of Cattlen.
