FORMER GEFF WOMAN
DIES IN MICHIGAN

Mrs. Mary MATTHEWS, 85, of Dearborn Heights, Mich., a resident of the Geff area years ago, died Tuesday morning in a hospital in Taylor, Mich.

She has been gone from Wayne County since 1926, the Press was told.

Services Saturday

Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne with Bro. Roy Rogers officiating. Burial will be in the Bestow Cemetery in Geff.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. MATTHEWS was born in Wayne County Sept. 5, 1893, the daughter of Hiram and Mahala (GALLOWAY) MILLER.

She was married to George MATTHEWS, who died in 1948.

Mrs. MATTHEWS spent most of her life in the Detroit, Mich. area.

The Survivors

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Lyndal HARGIS, of Detroit; Mrs. Elsie MATTHEWS, of Luling, Tex.; and one brother, Walter MILLER, of Detroit, Mich.

She was preceded in death by one son, Vance; three brothers, Clarence, Ralph and Homer; four sisters, Mae, Grace, Juanita and Hazel and her parents.
