Wm. T. "Billy" Vaughan Dies In Cycle Wreck; Was 20

William T. "Billy" Vaughan, 20, of Charleston and a former Fairfield boy, was killed in a motorcycle accident in that city early Saturday morning, June 22, 1996.

He was the son of Thomas and Patsy Vaughan, Rt. 2, Fairfield.

Mr. Vaughan was killed when his motorcycle hit a center street divider in Charleston and flipped. A companion riding with him was also killed. The two were dead on arrival at the Sarah Bush Health Center in Charleston.

Vaughan was employed as assistant manager at a Wareco service station in Charleston.

He was not married.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Johnson Funeral Home here, with Bro. Mark Shell officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the Johnson Chapel after 6 p.m. Monday (tonight).

He was born in Fairfield Aug. 19, 1975, the son of Thomas and Patsy Middleton Vaughan.

Surviving are his parents, Thomas and Patsy Vaughan, Rt. 2, Fairfield; three sisters, Michelle Asher, of Fairfield; Dana Robinson, of Keenes; and Melissa Gill, of Finley; and grandparents, Helen and Chuck Slankard, of Fairfield; and Geneva Vaughan, of Fairfield.
