Wayne Elwyn, 70, Former Fairfield Boy, Dies In West

Wayne G. Elwyn, 70, a former Fairfield boy, died Monday, June 10 1996, at Grand Junction, Colo., following a massive heart attack.

Mr. Elwyn, a brother of Mrs. Beulah Williams here, had lived in the West at Huntington Beach, Calif. since World War II.
 
He went to the west coast for Airtex but then operated his own automotive parts business in Los Angeles and later had an operation at Grand Junction, Colo.

He was the son of the late Charles P. and Rose Elwyn. His father was a Fairfield city light plant engineer.

Funeral services will be at Forest Lawn Mortuary in Cypress, Calif., at 1:30 p.m. Monday.

Mr. Elwyn was married to the former Helen Boze, a Fairfield girl.  Both are Fairfield High graduates. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary four years ago.

Mr. Elwyn was a World War II veteran, serving in the Marnes.

Surviving are his wife; Helen; a daughter, Karen Gorsuch, of Huntington Beach, Calif.; two grandchildren; a brother, Charles
Elwyn of the Peoria area; and two sisters Beulah Williams, of Fairfield and Alice Jones, of the West Coast.
