A former Fairfield resident, Mrs. Mary Miller, of Armstrong, died Thursday at the home of one of her daughters in Champaign of a heart attack.  She was 99.

Mrs. Miller, the widow of David Miller, lived in Fairfield many years ago before she and her husband moved to Armstrong.  They farmed there.

She was the mother of Mrs. Dora Sanders of Fairfield.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at the United Methodist church in Armstrong with burial there.

She was born in Edwards county Nov. 13, 1871, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel McDowell.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Dora Sanders, of Fairfield; Mrs. Thelma Meitzler, of Champaign, with whom she was living with; Mrs. Goldie Wilson, of Armstrong; and Mrs. Rosella Cook, of California; numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

About 20 people from Fairfield attended the funeral.
