Miss Mary Ellen Sloan, 73, of Flora, the sister of William Sloan, of Xenia, died at her home at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 1984.

Miss Sloan retired from International Shoe Company, at Flora, after being employed there for over 40 years.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday (today) at Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora, with Rev. Bill Webb officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery there.

Miss Sloan was born in Flora July 4, 1911, the daughter of Robert E. and Verna Lee (Gibson) Sloan.

She was a member of Flora First Christian Church.

Survivors include two brothers, William Sloan, of Xenia; and Robert Sloan, of Fairview Heights.

Preceding her in death was a brother.
