A retired superintendent of Trunkline Gas Company, Carlyn G. Miller, 58, of Cisne, died at 3 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, 1985, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital of cancer.

Mr. Miller was employed for 29 years with the gas company prior to retiring in 1984.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Providence General Baptist Church at Johnsonville. Burial will be in Cisne Cemetery.

Visitation is planned from 6-9 p.m. Thursday (tonight) at H@sselton Funeral Home at Cisne.

Mr. Miller was born in Wayne County July 19, 1927, the son of Glen and Edna Miller Miller.

He married the former Nadine Ellis in Kentucky July 26, 1947.

Mr. Miller was a member of the Providence General Baptist Church and longtime deacon. He formerly was a member of the Masons.

Survivors include his wife, Nadine Miller, of Cisne; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Miller, of Rinard; three sons Randy Miller, of Johnsonville; Robin Miller, of Athens, Ga.; Kevin Miller, of Metropolis; one brother, Clarion Miller, of Rinard; and five grandchildren.
