Otis Everett Forth, Age 61 Orchardville Native Dies

A Wayne county native, Otis Everett Forth, 61, of Decatur, formerly of Flora, died of an apparent heart attack at 6:55 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 1985, at the home of his sister at Johnsonville.

Mr. Forth owned and operated a filling station in Flora for several years, prior to working as an executive with P.P.G. Industries, a glass company, at Decatur.

Funeral services are planned for 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hosselton-Bookout-Engelmeier Funeral Home at Flora, with Rev. Olen Henson officiating. Burial will follow in New Church Cemetery east of Orchardville.

Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Monday (tonight) at the funeral home with Masonic Services at 7 p.m. during funeral time.

Born in Orchard township, of Wayne county, Mr. Forth was the son of Kellie and Erma Henson Forth. He was a veteran of World War II, having Served in the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. Forth was a member of the Masons and Moose Lodges at Flora.  He belonged to the Decatur Elks

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Allen (Debbie) Eaton, of Decatur; his step-mother, Mrs. Jessie Forth, of Flora and two sisters, Mrs. Roy (Anna Mae) Scott, of Johnsonville, and Mrs. Jess (Norma Jean) Pritchard, of Berea, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
