Mrs. Anna Clark Dies In Indiana

Mrs. Anna Clark, 84, of Spencer, Ind., died Saturday, April 13 in Bloomington Convalescent Center. She had been in a coma since suffering a heart attackJanuary 9.

Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock (DST) at West and Parrish FuneralHome in Spencer, Tuesday, April 16. Visitation is from 2 until 9 April 15.Interment will be in the Gross Cemetery.

Mrs. Clark is a former Fairfield resident and for several years was employed at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Clark was born April 10, 1901, daughter of Sherman and Dill Ann (Stultz)Arthur.  She was a member of Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church near Spencer.

Surviving are daughters, Kathleen Jones and Phyllis Simpson, of Fairfield andJean Gwaltney, of Carmi; sons, Warren Thacker and Willis Gwaltney of Spencer,Ind. and Elder Wayne Thacker of Anderson, Ind.;    Step-children surviving are: Henry Gwaltney, of Washington, Ind.: PearlHarbett of Columbus, Ind.; Sue Garrett of Hudson; Fern Fugate of Creve Couer,Mo.; Ann Brewer of St. Louis, Mo. and Arlene Pelsar of Kansas City, Mo.

Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Florence Gilliland of Bloomington, Ind.;29 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren, two daughters-in-law and six sons-on-law.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Thacker, Elder Martin Gwaltney and Ernest Clark.
