Mrs. Nellie Tidball, 84, Of Jasper Township, Succumbs
Nellie (Riggs) Tidball, 84, lifelong resident of Jasper Township and wife of the late Estel Tidball, died at 8:22 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 6, at Way-Fair Restorium in Fairfield, where she had resided since March.

She had suffered a series of paralytic strokes which resulted in her death.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at J@hnson's, the Rev. Charles Marshel presiding, with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation is tonight from 6-9:00 p.m., also at J@hnson's.

Mrs. Tidball was born March 29, 1904 to Preston and Ollie (Mason) Riggs of the Mt. Erie area. She was wed to Estel Tidball on July 9, 1924. He was employed as an oil field pumper and farmer in Jasper Township, where they had resided for a very long time. Mr. Tidball passed away on Feb. 20, 1988.

She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Vivian Breeze of DuQuoin, Ill.; two sons, Leslie Tidball of Essex, Ill., and Lester Tidball of McLeansboro; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
