Lucille Cunningham's Sister Dies At Bridgeton Hospital

Emma O. (Ferguson) Bright, 79, of Bridgeton, Mo., sister of Lucille Cunningham of Fairfield, died at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 1988 at DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton.
     Services were held today (Monday) at 12:30 p.m. at the Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, with the Rev. Merle Fullerton presiding. Burial was at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
     She was born Oct. 23, 1909, in West Union, Ill., a daughter of Lyman and Mary (Wiliiamson) Ferguson. She wed Vernon C. Bright on Aug. 17, 1927, in East St. Louis. He preceded her in death on July 23, 1969.
     Mrs. Bright was a private nurse as well as former administrator of the Maple
Grove Nursing Home in Mt. Vernon, before the facility closed.
     Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Barney (Wanda June) Kaiping of St. Ann, Mo.; a son, Gharles Bright of Knoxville, Tenn., four sisters, Flossie Lehman of Mt. Vernon, Olive Gill of Harrisburg, Ill., Mary Jones of Delray Beach, Fla., and Lucille Cunningham of Fairfield, a brother, Tom Ferguson of Richwood, Ohio; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
