Mrs. Sarah M. Maher, 91, mother of Mrs. Elaine Hoffee here, died Saturday night at the home of a daughter, Antonia Fortunato, in Philadelphia, Pa.  She had suffered a stroke one month ago.
 
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Fitzpatrick Funeral Home in Philadelphia.

Memorials may be made to the Fairfield Public Library.

Surviving are three sons, George, John (Pat) and Michael (Bonnie); three daughters, Mrs. Bob (Mary Clare) Hall, Antonia Fortunato and Elaine Hoffee, of Fairfield; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Elizabeth, Claire and Bernadette.
