Mrs. Ruby Bozarth Dies At Wayne City

A longtime Wayne City resident, Mrs. Ruby S. (Turner) Bozarth, 78, died at 3:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 1984, at her home.

Mrs. Bozarth was recently in the hospital for two weeks. She had been in declining health since last summer, the family told the Press.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday (today) at Richardson Funeral Home at Wayne City, with Rev. Richard McCormick officiating, Burial was in Olive Branch Cemetery.

Born in Wayne County Oct. 16, 1906, Mrs. Bozarth was the daughter of Oscar and Daisy (Trotter) Smith. She was first wed to Orville Turner, who preceded her in death June 17, 1972. Later she was married to Reedie Bozarth in Orel township, Wayne County, July 23, 1974.

Mrs. Bozarth was employed at Wayne City Garment Company for 20 years, prior to retiring in 1972.

She was a member of Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church near Wayne City.

Survivors include her husband, Reedie Bozarth, of Wayne City; two sons, Harley Turner, of Columbus, Ga; and Leroy Turner, of West Frankfort; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Basil (Lorene) Gauner, of Greenville; and Mrs. Lois Wolfe, of Louisville, Ky.; four grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
