Mrs. Alice E. Phillips, 95, of Rinard died at 11:10 a.m. saturday, Dec. 1, 1984, at Flora Nursing Home, Flora.

She was the mother-in-law of Mrs Violet Phillips, of Rinard.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hosselton, Bookhout, Engelmeier Funeral Home at Flora, with Rev. Ron Linder officiating. Burial will be in Willow Branch Cemetery near Rinard. Visitation for Mrs. Phillips will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday (tonight).

Mrs. Phillips was born in Wayne County Dec. 2, 1888, the daughter of John and Violetta (Milliton) Kessel. She was wed to Ross Phillips in 1906. He preceded her in death in 1943.

Mrs. Phillips was a member of Willow Branch United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Violet Phillips of Rinard; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were two sons and one granddaughter.
